1. Determine the moment of the force about point O .

2. Determine the moment of the force about point O . Neglect the thickness of the member.

3.Determine the resultant moment produced by the forces about point O .

4.Three couples are formed by the three pairs of equal and opposite forces. Determine the
resultant of M of the three couples. Ans. M= -20i -6.77j -37.2 k N.m

5.A force F having a magnitude of F = 100 N acts along the diagonal of the parallelepiped.
Determine the moment of F about point A , using MA = rB X F and MA = rC X F.

6.Force F acts perpendicular to the inclined plane. Determine the moment produced by F about
point B . Express the result as a Cartesian vector.

7. Determine the moment of the force F = {50i - 40j + 20k} lb about the AB axis. Express the

result as a Cartesian vector.

8. Determine the resultant couple moment acting on the triangular plate.

9.Calculate the magnitude of the moment about the base point O of the 600N force in five
different ways.
