Dear Parents:

Hope you had a wonderful weekend!


This week we have lots of things to look
forward to! We will be having our water
day, our student-led conferences and our
trip to flex family! What a lovely week
this will be! Lets continue having fun
learning!

Math Inquiry:

We will be reviewing our 2D and 3D


shapes through different games and
activities. We will also continue creating
and extending patterns through daily
activities like centers.

Important dates:

Tuesday May 17th : KG1 Water day


Wednesday May 18th :Student-led
conferences 4:30-7:30.
Thursday May 19th : Field trip to Flex
Thursday May 26th : Dress-down day.
Monday May 30th : Students last day
dismissal at 11 am

Literacy Inquiry:

This week we will be focusing on


letter Zz. We will be creating a craft , a
zipper crown, working on our journals for
letter Z and we will continue reviewing all
the sight words we have learned this year.
We will also be reading our leveled books to
practice reading independently.

Unit of Inquiry:
Central idea:
Expression of ideas and feelings can be
demonstrated creatively through the arts.

This week we will continue focusing on


expressing ourselves through drawing , painting
and coloring. We will discuss the work of great
Artists like Vincent Van Gogh
And learn about different techniques of
Art like painting on tin foil and using
Math to create art.

You can discuss with your child


Different kinds of art, point out
Any painting you see and ask them
What they think about it. Lets
have fun learning!
