How to configure Router D-link 803

Introduction
DIR 803 Router is deployed with Etisalat e-Life HSI service. This router (Firmware Version Eth_1.00 & Eth_1.01) is certified for use with HSI Plug & Play
Services. Hence the router is connected to a trunk port on GPON ONT.
Trunk port on GPON ONT includes an untagged Mgmt. VLAN and a tagged HSI Service VLAN.

A- Connect an Ethernet Cable into the HIS Trunk Port on the ONT.Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into the wan Port of the Router.
B- Power on the Router and connect a laptop to the LAN port of the router using another Ethernet cable.
B- Verify the dynamic IP address & Default gateway address on the laptop.

You will right inside URL : 192.168.1.1


User name and password will be (admin)
You will get to the setup wizard page as below and you will follow the following steps:

Then you will press Next :


Select (Gateway).

6 Press Next
7- Select time zone as follows: (GMT +4 AUH), NTP server will be (192.5.41.41 North America)
8- Then you will press Next

9- IP address will be (192.168.1.1)


10- Then you will press Next

11- Select WAN Access Type (PPPOE).


12- Enter the Username and Password provided by etisalat.
13-then press Next.

14-Select wireless Band.


15- Then press next.

16- In this step is for wireless 5 GHz basic settings the selection will be as follows:
Band: 5 GHZ
Mode: AP
Network: Infrastructure
SSID: choose the wireless network name
Channel width: 80MHZ
Control side band: Lower
Channel number: Auto
17- Then press next.

18- Select Encryption: WPA2 (AES)


Pre-Shared Key Format: passphrase
Pre-Shared Key: Enter the Wifi password you desire
19- Then you press Next

20- In this step is for wireless 2.4GHz basic settings the selection will be as folllows:
Band: 2.4 GHZ
Mode: AP
Network: Infrastructure
SSID: choose the wireless network name (it must be like the First one)
Channel width: 40MHZ
Control side band: Upper
Channel number: Auto
21- Then you will press enter:

22- You will fill this steps as below.


Encryption: WPA2 (AES)
Pre-Shared Key Format: passphrase

Pre-Shared Key: the password for your Wi-Fi (it must be like the First one)

Then you will press finished.
