Tribute Intro

The life as a law student is akin to a circus performer,


Like the contortionist who enslaves the limits of his body,
The student contorts and stretches his mind to its fullest, in order to
accommodate legal provisos he meets for the first time,
Like the lion who jumps onto a blazing ring of fire,
the student goes through a series of burning questions during recitations
propounded by the professor,
Like a tightrope walker whose like is at risk, the student during exams barely
makes it alive!
Law school is like a circus, and we are the circus performers.
Friends, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to
Le Cirque Des Rves!
the 24th Edition Tribute!
Tonight is indeed a momentous occasion
An opportunity not only to show our utmost respect,
To showcase our deepest affection for the graduating batch,
But also to embark on a festive celebration,
Le Cirque Des Rves!
A celebration of our shared experiences as circus performers,
Law students, seniors and juniors alike,
Who day in and day out,
Seek to offer our lives to our chosen calling,

Always fluctuating
Cramming for quizzes,
Enduring exams and tests
Sometimes failing
Sometimes passing
Accepting that there is no such thing as failure because failure is just life trying to move you
in another direction
What matters, after all, is that youre learning something

We send you off,
With high hopes,
We offer our prayers and humble salute

I. To a law students mind, graduation actualizes ones fears: fear of what others
will think of you, fear of failure, fear of not knowing what's next. On the other
side of fear, there is love and finding out what you are meant to beand your
destiny.
II. Dear seniors, we hope than when you leave the city of your comfort and go
into the wilderness of your intuition, you remember this: wherever you go, go
with all your heart. What you'll discover will be wonderful. What you'll discover
will be yourself.
III. Graduation is a time of completion, of finishing, of an ending, however, it
is also a time for celebration of achievement and a time for new beginning. It
ushers in warm memories of the past, and sets forth big dreams for the
future.
IV. Be aware that even before you have reached your ultimate professional
destination, that is, passing the bar and become lawyers, if you always strive

for excellence, you can and should have a substantial impact on the world in
which you live.
V. We hope that beginning today, you go confidently in the direction of your
dreams. Live the life you have imagined. So many of dreams at first seem impossible,
then they seem improbable, and then, when we summon the will, they soon become inevitable.
Understand that success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.
VI. The tribute is a reminder of far better things to come, of the imminent
realization of dreams. Off you go soon as graduates of the school of law, and
this, dear seniors, is the beginning of anything you want, all you ever wanted.
Truly, the best is yet to come.
VII. Its normal to feel slightly scared of leaving the cozy confines of law school,
and soon become graduates who shall undertake the bar. But thats alright.
You know the future is really happening when you start feeling scared.
