Roadmap to Success- Final

Life Plan:
To seize the moment is not the essential way I plan to live my life, though in doing so I plan to
form a venture based on my passions. I am not limited to creativity(i.e. Fashion & Design), but I
am highly inspired by innovation, athletics, and marketing. I aim to find footing in the field of
fashion as I have always created in depth ideas within my designs. I back myself up when
saying that the world of fashion still has room to grow behind its many styles and trends already
in cycle. I strive to develop my skills to one day market my own brand successfully. I want to
strive in my field by interning and work with different companies to really hone into what a
competitive start up business may look like. I want to build from my understanding of business
dynamics and fashion to the soul essence of sourcing, product development, and entrepreneurial
skills. I wish to combine these abilities and the knowledge of the human body with clothing
itself. I will create and work with businesses of athletic wear as well as business attire, reason
being is that both are clothing that tend to be required in particular areas as well as very different
areas from each other. I plan to one day join these two areas of fashion to better join the line
between business and casual wear with something more formal yet comfortable. It is because of
these ideas that I strive to know what is needed for my ultimate goals. I understand that there are
different avenues I may take to reach my ultimate plan. For the most part I must look at all
levels, possibilities, and maneuvers while working to maintain while surfacing the steps towards
my goals.

Key to self: I must maintain, strive, and progress in my field. On a professional level I wish to
maintain a valuable knowledge base to function throughout the industry if need be.

2. CAREER.

My career choice is a progression into some larger goals. I am currently going to Palomar
Community College for my pre-requis into the CSU Long Beach program for Fashion Design.
As a former student of San Francisco States program for Product Design I already have a
background with design concepts and material awareness. As I aim to go into both Fashion
Design and Development to understand the whole of concepting a design. I plan to intern while
in college with various companies. At the moment I am working on interning for a dog clothing
company by the name of The Stylish Bisou. As my long term goals require a better
understanding of the sportswear marketplace and materials on the whole. I aim to intern with any
brands that relate closer to sportswear as well. I have been looking into Lorna Jane Active
Living, as well as Bad Boy for better connection to the industry. I feel that one of my biggest
assets is my ability to connect with others. Some well known names within the U.S. are Darci
Walker, Dohee Kim, and Kristy Chavez. These designers worked through the trenches to get
where they are and I aim to use them as inspiration in my endeavors. As working up the industry
may take years and passion in doing so, I aim to learn all I can to progress within this field. As
the salary range goes from anywhere from 30,000 to 130,000. The growth in employment is
expected to decline 3% to 2022. But shows a growth in self-employment. Idealy selfemployment is where I aim to work with, once I have gained enough knowledge about the
industry as possible.
