1. Evaluate -11 (r4-3r+7) dr using gaussian integration two point and three point method.
2. Evaluate -11 (cosx/1-x2) dx by using gaussian integration method using three point
method and compare with exact solutions.
3. Write a note on iso parametric, sub parametric and super parametric element.
4. Obtain the shape functions for 2 nodal bar element using natural co-ordinate system (
varying from -1 to +1)

1. Determine the shape function for given 9 nodal element shown in fig 1 by legrangian
interpolation.
2. Evaluate the Cartesian co-ordinate of point p which has the local co-ordinate =0.6,
=0.8 as shown in fig. 2
3. For a iso parametric quadrilateral element determine the local co-ordinate of point p
which have Cartesian co-ordinate(7,4) Fig. 3

5. Discuss in detail the software usage for inelastic analysis.

2. Discuss briefly about pre processor and post processor analysis.
3. What is mean by mesh refinement and explain in detail about h-method, p-method &
h-p method.
4. Discuss in detail about automatic mesh generator & error evaluation in FEM.
