CONTRACTORS BEGIN RIVER ROAD/SANTA CLARA SEWER PROJECT
EUGENE, OR., Oct. 10, 2014 Starting Monday Oct. 27, construction will begin on the
River Road/ Santa Clara sewer project. The construction involves the placement of sewers and
service lines to the adjacent properties.
Construction sites include: the River Road, Santa Clara, the Irvington pump station, and
the Skipper pump station. Due to limited work areas, roadways under construction are closed to
thru traffic. Local traffic will still have access to their properties and business, but will be
delayed. Alternates routes to businesses and homes will be available, and we recommend that
you use those alternates to avoid potential delays. Mack Trucks.
During construction the contractor will be required to properly sign, barricade and fence
the construction area. The city will provide a full time inspector to the project to assure the
contractor complies with project specifications and assure that the project has little impact on
surrounding areas.
If construction affects personal property, the contractor will contact the property owner
and gain approval prior to arrival. Schools, LTD, Police, Fire, utilities, directly affected property
owners, and Lane County have been informed of the construction schedule.

Construction hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Construction is
scheduled for completion Friday, Dec. 12, 2014. If there are any further questions or inquiries,
