1 Story

The Tollman - A guy experiences strange events in his isolated tollbooth in a desert a far ways from a bad
town. Whoever gets close to his booth seems to just fall down and die. He takes the dead bodies to a
ditch near his tollbooth, and gets back to it before it gets dark because he is afraid of whats out there.
Over the course of the story, the guy reflects how he met his wife at the booth, who just disappeared one
day, and how he keeps getting these strange wounds. He even replays how his father was a tollbooths
man in the city, and how he witnessed his father get butchered in front of his own eyes. After he sees his
mother die in front of him the same ways everyone else has (in front of his booth) he realizes that she
seems to have been beaten, and that he has wounds on his hands. Disturbed, he brings his mother to
the ditch, and he looks in. Everyone seems have been beaten, some with blood on their hands. He
realizes with growing horror that he must have killed them, and the wounds he got mysteriously was them
fighting back. He notices a really old skeleton at the far end of the ditch. He notices that it wore the same
thing that he last saw his wife in, and had a gold band around its finger.

1 Story

Fuzzy - In the perspective of the mother, we find that her son, Kevin, would talk nonstop about his
imaginary friend, Fuzzy. He would describe him as a colorful, fuzzy creature that would arrive in a mist
through his window every night. They would play together, but they never did during the day time. One
day the mother was cleaning his room, and she noticed two small holes by the window that seemed to
have been put there on purpose, but she ignored it. Once Kevin started school, he had to get up early,
and the mother began to notice that he would look exhausted when he got ready. This lead the mother to
believe he was skipping his bed time to play with his imaginary friend, so she wanted to catch him in the
act. She heard him talking and she carefully walked up the stairs, and opened his door. There was a hairy
man in a gasmask feeding Kevin hallucinogenic gas. In the newspaper 3 months back it read that a
pediophelic man who lured children with hallucinogenic drugs got arrested. Kevin stopped seeing Fuzzy

Someone Always Comes - You get lost in a corn maze and you meet another lost girl. She asks you to
trade, and you accept. She starts telling her story of how she got lost in the corn maze. She went into the
maze without a map, and the corn was growing green. She got terribly lost, but she noticed the corn was
now yellow and brittle and a cool October breeze passed through the air; concerning considering the corn
was green and it was the middle of a hot summer. She panicked and ran this way and that. She soon met
a little boy, who asked her to trade. She accepted, and he told her his story of how he got stuck in the
maze. He told her he met a person who traded with him, and she another. They were not trading stories,
but souls. The person in the maze is stuck there until someone comes along, and they can trade their
positions. She got stuck in the maze as the boy walked free, and now she gets to walk away as you get
stuck there for years to come. Dont worry, she says, someone always comes along.
What I Forgot - A person wakes up to a thunderstorm one comfortable Saturday afternoon. However, the
chance to sleep in was snatched away by the blaring of an alarm clock from their upstairs neighbor. They
waited for what seemed like an eternity for them to turn it off, getting more impatient and agitated by the
minute. The finally give in and get up from their comfortable bed. They walk upstairs and pound on their
door, but there was no answer. The window was open, and the person just wanted peace, so they
climbed inside. The place was a mess, like they left in a hurry. They walked over to the alarm clock and
shut it off. The walked outside to enjoy the quiet, until they realized it was too quiet. No cars, no people,
absolutely nothing but the clash of thunder. They look out from the patio and see giant waves of ocean
water getting closer and closer. They remembered that there was a severe weather warning the night
before and everyone had to evacuate, but they were too tired to notice and slept like a rock. Exasperation
and horror washed over them as they finally noticed that they were truly alone.
SolusXisle - A strange man walked into the authors art gallery, and requested for a slot for his artwork.
The author told him that there was a slot opened on Friday for only five paintings, and the man seemed
pleased. He introduced himself as Michael James, and that he was a photographer and graphic artist. He
would manipulate photos to make them look more gruesome to show people whats really on the inside.
The author was intrigued, and asked Michael to make one for him. He did, and he came back with a
photo of the author, dead with organs splayed out in the open. The author was astounded and requested
to see the rest. They were amazing, but that was the first night the author had his nightmares. He

dreamed he was living like any ordinary day, and he even burnt his tongue on his coffee. He went to the
art gallery but heard heavy breathing in the back room. Inside was Michael, and he was crouched over a
woman breathing heavily. He turned his head and he was covered in blood, and the woman was dead.
Michael threw something at the author, but then he woke up. The day happened like it did in his dream,
but this time the author grabbed a crowbar before going into the back room. Inside was Micheal trying to
lift a large box. Claiming he had a burst of inspiration, Michael opened the box to reveal several photos of
the same dead woman that he saw in his dream, but next to her was himself (the author). The author also
came to the realization that the picture Michael took of him was in a different pose than the one in this
photo. During the opening, Michael talked to and took pictures of everyone there individually. The author
talked to some of Michael's models, and not one of them said something bad about him. Every night the
author would have the same nightmare, but each time there was a different person in the womans place.
Michael quickly became famous, and the author was at the end of his wit. One time he snapped, and to
make sure he was dreaming he took a gun and shot Michael in the head. Time then seemed to rewind,
and he found himself waking up again, but with a gun in his hand and one shot fired. He went to the
gallery again and Michael savagely killed him. In his nightmares the author would try to kill him in different
ways, and Michael the same. The author walked into the gallery, but this time Michael waved hello. He
stopped himself from shooting again, but instead had a pleasant conversation with him. It was during this
conversation that he pulled the trigger, but the world did not unwind. In the end, the author took the place
of Michael, or the real monster.
