Procedures
1. You have chosen a disease in class. Please try to present your
disease during the unit on the system it effects.
2. Research your disease.
3. You may produce a traditional written report, a PowerPoint
presentation, a website, video, any type of tech can be included,
act out a scene for personal reflection, or a poster board with
the following information. (Whatever format you choose, you
will have to make a presentation. More than one format can be
incorporated. When I look at the checklist I say it must be 20
minutes. I told someone today that 10 minutes should do it, but
I want you to really know this disease well enough so that after
all the presentations we will all know a lot more about many
diseases AND so we know what body parts the disease
affects & how)

Who and where it was discovered (5 pts)
How it was diagnosed by the doctor and how it is

4. Bibliography: (15 pts)
a. Minimum of 3 credible sources! This could include
books, magazines, internet (.org, .edu, .gov) and library
databases.
b. NO CUTTING AND PASTING INFORMATION!!
c. Must be cited correctly! MLA format.
Grading:
150 points for presentation format. 50 points for oral
presentation. You may involve other students in your presentation. If
those students are from another class, you must have that teachers
permission before you plan your presentation. You may arrange
refreshments for your presentation, but be sure you clean up.
MAXIMUM TIME LIMIT FOR PRESENTATIONS 30 MINUTES
MINIMUM TIME LIMIT FOR PRESENTATIONS 10 MINUTES
