VIDEO PROJECTS

Create a video diary


The activity can be use in two different ways. Each day, the students have to film
themselves and do a diary but instead of writing they have to speak. They are going to work
on it for the whole year. For example, footage one can be introduce themselves, footage two
introduce family members, describe people, talk of likes and dislikes, talk about vacations,
and so on depending on the topic they are studying.
Also, instead of them talking about themselves, they will have to talk about a character of
the book they are reading or historical person. They will have to record video clips from
many different facets of the subjects life. If the teacher wants to add more they, she can tell
them to add a voiceover to tell the story and music to set the mood.

Also, they can run interview shows among their classmates on current issues that are
happening around the world. For example, if the project was being conducted right now
they could talk about the tragedy in Orlando, or other current events that are happening at
the moment.
