The Great Poets

Where would a book of poetry be

Without the greats poets like Yeats or Bley?
The greatest, and not so, of our time,
Who c/would break our hearts through/with
their verse and rhyme.

John Keats, a man of many feats

He sat bums down and raised them up

Oh dear, it is Old Bill Shakespeare

He’s been played to death.
Thakn God for that man I read about in a
book
What was his name again?
And Mr. Rudyard Kipling.
You should have stuck to baking
Treats.
I’m a fan
About as funny as Spike Milligan
Christina Rosseti, Who knew that confetti
Would be so dear in your heart?

One more great and we’re almost done,

Sir Robert Louis Stevenson.
And ode to little Anonymous
No doubt the greatest of the grouse
For my dearest dear one
If any were to be left unsung
Poesy (old days poems)
Charlie B, you and your sister Emily
Oh.
And me.

Sunday Morning Politics

Greenpeace, Tories, Liberal Dem

Pray tell us your stratagem.
All together, joining forces.
Drinking tea and plotting courses.

In speculative national summit

Calculating span of plummet.
Edified from paper news
Whilst heeding other poet’s views
