General

Transformer Oil Leak At Pressure Relief Value Gasket, Need to replace With New Gasket

And Top Up Oil Level to The Site Requirement

Procedure

1. Mobilizing Man power and Equipments in to the site


2. Briefing about rules and regulation, Safety and Work Procedure
3. Receiving of permit to work (PTW)
4. Identifying the location and transformer need to perform work
5. Ensure that the transformer in ideal condition , barricade and display the warning sign
6. Note down the particulars of the transformer data, oil level and oil gauges
7. The dielectric test require
 Sample from drum
 Sample from main transformer tank
8. Place the oil pump near the transformer in a full flat floor
9. If any inspection sticker need consult to the site in charge and make arrangement for it
10. Connect the power supply single phase 230V to the pump then set the voltage and
conform it
11. Connect a flexible oil hose from transformer drain valve to pump inlet and from pump
outlet to Storage drum
12. Now oil pump is ready to pump oil from transformer to drum. Before pumping the oil,
dismantle breather. so that the pressure inside the tank escape from the breather port
13. Open the conservator drain valve
14. Start the pump and drain the oil the transformer to the storage drum. At list 200L
15. Make sure the Air is coming in through the breather port
16. After draining the required level stop the pump and switch off , plug out the power from
the supply and close the transformer drain valve
17. Dismantle the pressure relief valve and change the damaged gasket which was creating oil
leak with the new gasket and fix back the pressure relief valve
18. And refill back the oil to the main tank to the requirement level by monitoring at oil level
gauge. Oil level should be above 50% of the gauge located at conservator tank
19. Finally bleed out the air from radiator, bochholz relay and conservator through air vent
20. Since the job is completed remove the oil hoses, fix the breather and normalize
21. Check the oil level and all the gauges, check if any oil leakage
22. Collect the oil sample and do dielectric test
23. House keep the area and close the permit, clear all the equipments back to store.
