1) Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation in Salem, Tamil Nadu is a deemed university declared under Section 3 of the UGC Act in 2001. 2) At the time of notification, it had three institutes under it: Vinayaka Mission's Homeopathy Medical College, Salem, Vinayaka Mission's Sankarachariyar Dental College, Salem, and Vinayaka Mission's Annapoorna College of Nursing, Salem. 3) Additional off-campus units were approved between 2004-2006 in Salem, Pondicherry, and Thailand for medical programs.
