Cooperative School Grade News Meredith Goodnight, Third Teacher Week of October 11, 2010 [email protected] g MACS 466-0990 Dates to Remember! Go Gators!!! There is no school on Friday, October 15th due to the UF Homecoming Parade. This means that Third Graders will take this week’s spelling test on Thursday! Math – Last week Third Graders started working on using Snack Schedule strategies to help them memorize multiples of 2’s and 3’s. This week students will focus on multiples of 5’s and 10’s as (for 16 well. Please encourage your child to practice reciting these students) facts every evening. Flash cards and interactive games can be printed out for free at http://multiplication.com. Monday – Shawn Reading- Students will read “Turtle Bay.” As students read, they will focus on identifying the author’s purpose. Students Tuesday – Preston will also work on developing his/her comprehension skills Wednesday – Katelyn and vocabulary. Thursday – Collin Writing- Students will focus on using descriptive words Friday – No school to spice up their writing. Thank You!
