This document describes two types of relay classes - IEC class 30 VA 5P20, where 30 VA is the rated burden and 5P20 indicates an error of 5% at 20 times rated current and 1% at rated current. The second is IEEE class C800, where C indicates a 10% error at rated and 20 times rated current, 800 is the reference voltage, and the rated current of 5A, over current factor of 20, and rated burden of 8 ohms corresponds to a rated burden of 200 VA.

30 VA = Rated burden 5P20 = 5 % error at 20 x rated current and 1% at rated current
IEEE example C800 (5 A rated current)
C = 10% error at rated and 20 x rated current 800 = Reference voltage 5A x 20 x 8 ohm = 800 V 5A = Rated current 20 = Over current factor 8 ohm = Rated burden 8 ohm = 52 x 8 = 200 VA
