Dairy Milk

Fair trade aims to ensure workers in developing countries are paid enough to support themselves. It connects cocoa farmers in Ghana, the second largest cocoa producer, to chocolate companies. The Kuapa Kokoo cooperative was founded in 1993 and has over 50,000 cocoa farmer members who supply 5% of Ghana's annual cocoa production. The fair trade mission is to provide stable prices, extra income, environmental protections, and market access to help farmers receive fair prices for their work.

Mission statement
Being part of the Fair Trade agreement, our mission is to provide fair and stable
prices, extra income, environmental matter, stronger position in world markets,
and having closer links between consumers and producers.
We make sure that the farmers and workers receive a fair price that can support
their life. Thus, we make sure we comply national and international laws of
protection, including; water, virgin forests and other ecosystems. In addition, the
more market knowledge farmers have the more help farmers can access and
receive higher prices in conventional market. We can access mainstream markets
in developed countries since we have created a sector for our products.
Furthermore, we’re always aware of the fact if the producers get a fair deal and
we’re determined to trade closely as possible in the easiest and most fair way.
