Hypoglycaemia Flowchart

This flowchart provides guidance on treating hypoglycemia in diabetic and non-diabetic patients. For conscious diabetic patients, it recommends a trial of oral carbohydrates such as soft drinks or sugar. If oral intake is not possible or the glucose level remains low, IV glucose or glucagon injection are options. It also differentiates treatment based on patient age, weight, and ability to tolerate oral intake. Follow-up testing is recommended within 15-20 minutes to check the glucose level.
