NCP Ineffective Adherence

The patient presented with delayed wound healing on the left thumb and foot due to diabetes. Hyperglycemia from poor medication adherence and self-care deficits impaired the body's wound healing response. The goals were to teach the patient ways to promote wound healing through improved nutrition, medication compliance, and skin care. Nursing interventions included education on glucose control, wound cleaning, keeping the feet dry, and avoiding soaking to promote faster healing and prevent complications.
