4 Seasons

The document describes the key characteristics of each season through poems and short paragraphs. Spring brings warmer weather, rain, and the birth of baby animals as plants wake from winter. Summer has long hot days ideal for vacations, and ripe fruits and vegetables. Autumn features changing leaf colors and picking final crops as animals prepare for winter. Winter is cold, with snow for children to play in as animals retreat to shelters. The four seasons continually cycle in their temperatures and natural occurrences.

The Four

Seasons
The Four Seasons Poem
by Travis Paul Moulton

• All four seasons are special somehow,

Spring, Summer, Winter, and Fall,
Each having its own temperature,
Summer hot, winter cold,
Spring and Fall in the middle,
Spring has its rain and flowers,
Winter has its snow,
Fall has the colored leaves,
Summer of course has vacation,
Making it my favorite.
• Taken from www.voicesnet.org
Spring
• The sun shines more and the
days begin to get warmer.
• Spring is a time when baby
animals are born.
• Spring is a time when plants
and trees wake up after a
long winters nap.
• Spring showers help to warm
the earth, moisten the soil,
helping new plants to grow.
Summer
• Long, hot days.

• Summer fruit and

vegetables are ready to
be picked.

• You see many bees and

butterflies fly flower to
flower.
Autumn
• Leaves change to yellow,
orange, and red.

• Picking fruits and

vegetables.

• Animals get ready for

winter.
Winter
• Winter is cold.

• Children dress
warmly to play in
the snow.

• Animals head to
their winter homes.
