Minor Project Synopsis

Training and Placement Cell

Objective :
This project is designed to maintain the record of students of several departments of a college
who have made their placements in the companies.

User Requirements:
To develop a software that simplifies the need of a training and placement officer by providing
them the all options that make their work easy and convenient.

System Requirements:-

• Hardware Requirements:1 GB RAM,80 GB Hard Disk, Intel Processor


• Software Requirements:-
 Front End: C# with .Net framework
 Back end : Sql Server 2005

Project Modules : There are following 4 modules in the project:-

 Registration of the students.

 Placement status of the students.

 Searching for record of students.

 Departmentwise details of the students.

Project description:
The project will provide all the details of the students. Students can fill the registration
form. The list of registered students can be viewed & can be updated. Besides this, we can see
the placement status of the students. We can search for record of a particular student & can see
the departmentwise details of the students.

Proposed TimePeriod : 2 months(6 hours in a week)


Future Scope:
Our project has a big scope to do. Our project can be extended to the next level by extending its
functionality and information. Some new utilities can be added to it.
