Describing Graphs, Tables and Charts

This document defines and describes different types of charts, graphs, and tables used to visualize data. It explains that charts make data relationships easier to understand by showing how two or more data sets are related. The common types of charts are pie charts and bar charts. Graphs show the relationship between numbers or measurements using lines or curves. Tables organize numerical information into rows and columns. Trends show changes in data over time and can be described as upward, downward, or stable movements using specific verbs and adjectives to specify the degree and speed of change. Examples are provided.
