GL2010 FinalResult
The Staff Selection Commission conducted Combined Graduate Level (Tier-I) Examination,
2010 on 16.5.2010 and against 746028 registered candidates, 539277 candidates appeared in this
examination. Based on their performance in Tier-I 55594 candidates (including common candidates
for CPOs as well and 24512 candidates opting for Statistical Investigator and Compiler) were called
for Tier-II Examination held on 31.7.2010 and 1.8.2010 respectively. The result of Tier-II
Examination was declared on 4.9.2010.
2. Out of 4533 candidates appeared in interview for the following posts, category wise break-up
of the candidates for different posts selected against the vacancies reported by the user department, is
as below:

6. While allocating posts to eligible candidates, merit cum preference criteria has been adopted.
The candidates were allocated post according to preferences exercised by the candidates. In case the
candidate who have not given preference for sub-option within the group posts, default ABCDEFGH
is taken for option ‘N’, ABC for option ‘O’, AB for option ‘Q’ and ‘AB’ is taken for the group ’U’.
In case of few sub-options given by a candidate, if the candidate was not getting the post, the
remaining sub-options was appended to candidates sub-options in alphabetical orders preserving
their preferred sub-options.
7. Criteria for resolving tie cases: In the event of tie of marks in grand total, the candidate,
getting higher marks in written, has been assigned higher rank. In the event of candidate, getting
even equal marks in written, the higher marks obtained in first cut off (Tier I) has been taken into
account for assigning higher rank. In the event of, candidate getting equal marks in first cut off also,
the older candidate (on DOB) has been given higher rank. In the case of tie even at this stage, the tie
is resolved on the basis of ascending alphabetic order of name.

8. The above said Lists are purely provisional and subject to the recommended candidates
fulfilling all the eligibility conditions prescribed for the respective post in the Notice of Examination
and also subject to thorough verification of their identity with reference to their photographs,
signatures, handwritings, etc., on the application forms, admission certificates, etc. The candidature
of the candidates are liable to be cancelled by respective Regional Directors in case candidates found
not fulfilling the eligibility conditions or any other genuine reasons.
9 For candidates belonging to reserved categories for whom certain percentage of vacancies are
reserved as per Government Policy, the category status is indicated against their Roll Numbers. It is
important to note that some of these candidates have been declared qualified only for the category
mentioned against their Roll Numbers. If any candidate does not actually belong to the category
mentioned against his/her name, he/she may not be eligible to be included in the list. It is, therefore,
in the interest of the candidates concerned to immediately contact the respective Regional Office of
the Commission in all such cases where they do not belong to the category shown against their Roll
Numbers.
10. Candidates securing adequate marks for consideration for specific group of posts and are not
declared qualified must contact the Regional Office concerned immediately whether there is any
discrepancy in documentation and/or doubt about fulfillment of eligibility criterion.
12. Marks of the qualified and non-qualified candidates will be made available on SSC's
Website shortly.
