Trust In God’s

Greatness
Pastor John Isaacs
Kingsway Community Church
January 2, 2011
Last week’s message:

Relying Upon
God’s
Faithfulness
Lamentations 3:21-23 (NLT)
21
Yet I still dare to hope when
I remember this: 22 The faithful
love of the LORD never ends!
His mercies never cease.
23
 Great is His
faithfulness; His mercies
begin afresh each morning.
“Belief in God”
vs.
Relying Upon His
Faithfulness
“Born Again”
vs.
A Surrendered
Life – Yielded to
God’s Will
Mark 12:30 (ESV)
“And you shall love the Lord
your God with all your
heart and with all your
soul and with all your
mind and with all your
strength.”
If He isn’t LORD
of all …
… then He isn’t
LORD at all!
Let’s enter
2011 trusting
in God’s
greatness!
Psalm 18:28-36
28
You light a lamp for me. The LORD,
my God, lights up my darkness.
29
In your strength I can crush an
army; with my God I can scale any
wall.  God’s way is perfect. All the
30

LORD’s promises prove true. He is a

shield for all who look to Him for
protection. 31 For who is God except
the LORD? Who but our God is a
solid rock? 32 God arms me with
strength, and he makes my way
perfect.
33
He makes me as surefooted as a
deer, enabling me to stand on
mountain heights. 34 He trains my
hands for battle; he strengthens my
arm to draw a bronze bow.
You have given me your shield of
35

victory. Your right hand supports

me; your
help has made
me great.
36
You have made a wide path for
my feet to keep them from
slipping.
Trust In His Greatness
1. His light displaces our darkness.
2. Not defeated by difficult obstacles.
3. Protection from our enemies.
4. Supernatural strength when needed.
5. In Him we rise above difficulty.
6. He faithfully leads us into our future.
7. In Him – Life Works!
God’s
Greatness is
behind living
a Great life!
Faith in God may
get us to heaven, but
relying upon His
Faithfulness and
trusting in His
Greatness will get us
through 2011
