METHOD:

*MEDICATION:

Ferrous sulfate

Ferrous sulfate helps to replace blood loss during delivery.

-the dosage is 500mg and is taken once a day until one month

Mefenamic acid

- The medication is used to treat mild to moderate pain, including menstrual discomfort

-dosage is 500 mg capsule, every 8 hours

Cephalexin

Used to treat bacterial infection

-the dosage is 500mg capsule, every 6 hours

EXERCISE

Advised to walk as frequently, even if a few steps as possible provide environment that is well ventilated, quiet, and gives comfort to the mother
for easily recovery.

Walking is a particularly good choice, because you can set the pace to your energy level. It also has wonderful health benefits. It can improve
circulation, decrease the risk of blood clots, reduce intestinal swelling, and promote healing. Walking is also a great stress-buster, and it gives
you an opportunity to get out of the house and enjoy some fresh air.
TREATMENT:

Continuous to take her medication that prescribed by the doctor, scheduled appointment to the health care provider for checkups
and regular wound dressing to avoid infection, advised to avoid lifting heavier than her baby this might cause___________

HYGIENE:

Avoid taking baths, going to the public pools or hot tub.

OUT PATIENT APPOINTMENT

She should return after 2 weeks for both herself and her newborn for follow up checkups and consultation. This check up is also an
opportunity to discuss problems and to answer questions of the mother.

DIET:

The Postpartum mother should eat:

 Food rich in iron such as, avocado, oats, tofu, meat, fish, and eggs. Iron is good for blood, brain, lungs, nerves, etc. Needed to
form hemoglobin. Prevents anemia (fatigue, irritability, pale colored skin)
 Food rich in protein such as meat, fish, milk, beans, and nuts. It helps for the growth and repair of the body's tissues; proteins provide
energy and act as enzymes that control chemical reactions in the cell.
 Food rich in calcium such as dairy, dark leafy greens, figs, and tofu. Good for nails, bones, teeth. Calcium Maintain and build
teeth and bones. Useful for blood clotting and nerve function. May prevent osteoporosis, and lower high blood pressure.
 Remember to drink plenty of liquids. Drink to satisfy your thirst, but be sure to drink six to 10 glasses of liquid every day. To avoid
constipation

SPIRITUAL

Have strong faith to God, having cesarean section the patient still wait for 6 weeks or until the healthcare provider said that it is
safe to have sexual intercourse
