This rubric evaluates student presentations in a classroom debate. It assesses students on 6 criteria: knowledge of the topic, organization of arguments, use of examples and facts, presentation style, time management, and rebuttal of other arguments. For each criteria, it provides descriptors to evaluate performance at levels of 1 (needs improvement) to 3 (meets expectations). The rubric aims to guide students to prepare thoroughly, structure their debate clearly and orderly, support their viewpoint with evidence and facts, present convincingly, stay within time limits, and effectively respond to other positions.
