Burning in My Bones

The document discusses the prophet Jeremiah's inability to restrain from speaking God's word despite his attempts. It asks if the reader feels a burning desire to share the gospel that they tire of holding back. Exalt His Name Today

Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, nor speak anymore in His
name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my
bones; I was weary of holding it back, and I could not. Jer. 20:9

Jeremiah, the prophet, had the words of God in Him. He tried as best he
could to temper his speech, to calm his words, to suppress the name of his
God, but he could not. The prophet, in his most ardent attempts to resist,
had to release what was shut up inside of him.

Do you have a burning in your bones, to release the good news of the
Gospel? Do you tire in your attempts to restrain yourself from sharing the
words God has put in your spirit?

If the answer to these questions is no, then you may want to remember these
words found in Revelation and written to the church:

“And
to
the
angel
of
the
church
of
the
Laodiceans
write,

‘These
things
says
the
Amen,

the
Faithful
and
True
Witness,
the
Beginning
of
the
creation
of
God:

“I
know
your

works,
that
you
are
neither
cold
nor
hot.
I
could
wish
you
were
cold
or
hot.
So
then,

because
you
are
lukewarm,
and
neither
cold
nor
hot,
I
will
vomit
you
out
of
My
mouth.
