RESEARCH PROPOSAL

TOPIC: Records Management and Organizational Efficiency.

RESEARCH PROBLEM: The study is to investigate whether:

 Records should be effectively well managed from its creation to its disposition and what they
can be used for when they are no longer in use.
 The conditions under which organizations store the information’s they get and if they are stored
conductively for easy retrieval.

RESEARCH OBJECTIVES: The main objective of the study is to find out;

 Procedures and methods used to manage records by an organization.


 How measures are being used effectively.
 Records Management of Organization Efficiency and its impact.

LITERATURE REVIEW: Johnson and Kallaus (1987)

Westgate (2000)

RESEARCH QUESTIONS:

 What are the procedures and methods used by the organization to manage records?
 How effective are the procedure used by the organization.
 What impact does records management have on the Organizational Efficiency?

REAEARCH METHODOLOGY: Primary source; personal observations, interviews and questionnaires.

Secondary source; Library, internet and books.

LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY: The study was limited to one company Oguaa Mansin Mutual Health
Insurance due to time and the reluctance on the parts of the respondents to respond.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY: The result of the study will be helpful to all planners at all sectors of the
Ghanaian economy as well as authors to help produce teaching and learning materials in the fields of
management and organizational efficiency.
