Chapter One
It was a beautiful and warm night. Alison Broaden sat by the beach
watching as the sun was replaced by the moon. It had been a long hard
stressful day for Alison. Her work was stressful due to the fact that she
was starting to date colleague Ralph Saunters. Alison worked in the
police force as DCI Alison Broaden and Ralph was the new guy who
worked as a Community Officer. Everyone that he was a loser but Alison
didn¶t. She thought he was kind, sweet and funny what she rarely found
in a guy. Alison had long blonde hair with light green eyes. She also had
2 children which were twins 9 years old, but no husband or boyfriend.
Their dad walked out before they were born. Alison like walking on the
beach after work it helped her cool down from work and her family. She
lived in New York City in America. New York always had crime to solve
which is what made her so anxious to move to England.

She started to walk home to her house which was very close to the beach.
Alison opened the door and shouted ³I¶m home´

They both said ³Okay´. They never said µhad a good day at work¶ or µhow
are you¶, just okay.
