This document presents data on gross domestic product (GDP) and its expenditure components in Nigeria from 1981 to 2008. It shows the annual values of government consumption, private consumption, gross capital formation, exports, imports and other indicators used to calculate GDP. GDP grew over this period, rising from around 52 billion Naira in 1981 to over 25 trillion Naira in 2008. Private consumption was the largest expenditure component, growing from around 29 billion to over 17 trillion over the same period.
