Diet For Diabetic People

Eating small, frequent meals helps control blood sugar levels for those with diabetes by preventing excess glucose in the bloodstream. A diabetes diet focuses on eating a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins in moderation at regular intervals while avoiding refined carbs, sugars, and saturated fats. Maintaining a healthy weight through diet and exercise can both prevent and potentially reverse diabetes.

Diet for diabetic people :-

See 1st thing is to understand the disease in detail. Which I tried my best in my earlier tweets on
diabetes. Now the question comes “what to eat & how much to eat?”

See it’s very simple, when u have diabetes, it means your insulin production is low for some
reason. It Means you should eat in small quantity as per your low insulin production, so that you
try your level best not to leave any extra glucose in your bloodstream. If you don’t leave extra
glucose then your blood sugar won’t rise. For this the most effective way is to have small meals
in every 2-3 hrs interval. Eating right is a key in preventing & controlling diabetes. The key to a
diabetes diet is eating in moderation, sticking to regular mealtimes & eating a variety of fruits,
vegetables & whole grains.

Diabetes is on the rise, yet most cases of diabetes are preventable with healthy lifestyle changes.
Some can even be reversed. The bottom line is that you make a difference by eating a healthy
diet, keeping your weight in check & doing regular exercise.

Diabetic people should always eat complex carbohydrate & avoid simple carbohydrate. Avoid
refined carbs, sugary items, fruit juices, add more fiber in your diet, have more plant foods, avoid
anything that can increase your weight. Have more & more whole grain foods. Avoid SFA’S
(saturated fatty acid) & instead have MUFA( monounsaturated fatty acid) & PUFA
( polyunsaturated fatty acid) these are good fats.

Studies have shown that eating too much protein, especially animal protein, may actually
cause insulin resistance, a key factor in diabetes. A healthy diet includes protein,
carbohydrates, fruits, vegetables, dairy products & fats. The key is a balanced diet.
