OC KL Campus Lends A Helping Hand To The Less Fortunate

Olympia College, KL campus (OCKL) has started a Charity Drive to donate provisions and food

stuff to designated family seen fit by the St John’s church on a monthly basis. This was

spearheaded by our Managing Director, Mr Sydney Pereira.

The response for the donation drive was encouraging and a lot of students from the various

programmes donated food stuff such as biscuits, instant noodles, milo, sardine tins and such. The

first round was supported with additional contributions of various story books and clothes

collected from the jumble sale held last week at the KL campus.

Ms Sharon, Ms Defani together with Mr Kalai and Encik Azli handed the first round of

provisions to St John’s Church on the 12 June 2010.

According to the Brian Param, the Principal “This will be an on-going project to educate and

instill in our younger generation the importance of helping the less fortunate. OCKL is proud to

be able to lend a helping hand to the less fortunate.”

Most students found it a useful and plausible avenue for them to reach out to the less fortunate.

OCKL also plans to invite some students to join them to distribute the provisions and spend time

with the cluster families.
