These custom patches for the GT-8 by Paul Hanson will overwrite the user patches in banks 5 through 9, so the user should back up any existing patches. The update procedure involves using a computer, MIDI interface and sequencer software to play Standard MIDI Files which will transfer the patch data to the GT-8. Once complete, the new patches will be available in banks 5 through 9.

GT-8 Paul Hanson Custom Patches
In the GT-8’s display if the patch name has CTL then the GT-8’s CTL pedal does
something... try it to see what it does.

Also at the end of the patch name if you see Sngl or Dbl be sure to use a single coil
pickup or a double coil pickup, respectively.

Patches 8-2, 8-3 and 8-4 are stereo patches. Please play these in stereo and they will
sound huge. You will need two amps, a stereo PA or stereo monitors. (You may notice a
delay if you play them in mono).

Make sure you have experimented with the OUTPUT SELECT button to match the GT-8
to your set up. You may find Line/Phones works best even if you are plugged into an
amp.

If using an amp these patches will work best when setting the amp as clean as possible
and not too bright.

The volume of each patch will vary with your set up. You might want to use the PATCH
LEVEL knob to balance the patch volume to the other patches and then press WRITE
two times to save the level change.
