Tropical Storm Bebeng maintained winds of 75 kph as it moved northward over the Philippines, located 50 km east of Tuguegarao City. Forecasts had the storm passing 120 km east of Basco, Batanes on Tuesday afternoon and 370 km north-northeast of Basco on Wednesday afternoon before moving 140 km west of Okinawa, Japan on Thursday afternoon. Public Storm Warning Signal No. 2 was raised for Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Quirino, Ifugao, Mt. Province, Kalinga, Apayao and Babuyan group while Signal No. 1 covered Calayan group and Batanes.

Tropical Storm "Bebeng" is expected to bring rains over the western section of Luzon. Residents in low lying areas and near mountain slopes under signal #2 and #1 are advised to take all the necessary precautions against possible flashfloods and landslides. Likewise, those living in coastal areas are alerted against big waves or storm surges generated by this tropical cyclone. The public and the disaster coordinating councils concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next bulletin to be issued at 11 PM today.
