Making Admin Active in Vista

To enable the hidden built-in administrator account in Windows Vista, open the command prompt with administrative rights and type "net user administrator /active:yes", then log on to the normal administrator account. To disable it, type "net user administrator /active:no" in the command prompt after logging on as the normal administrator.

Making admin active in Vista 1. Open command prompt with administrative rights.

2. ENABLE HIDDEN REAL BUILT-IN ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT, a. In the command prompt, type as - net user administrator /active:yes

b. Press ENTER. 3. DISABLE HIDDEN REAL BUILT-IN ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT, IMP- Please note that you should log on into the normal administrator account at this stage. Otherwise, it wont work at all.

a. In the command prompt, type as - net user administrator /active:no

b. Press ENTER. 4. Now you will receive the message saying THE COMMAND COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY. If you dont get the message, please repeat the process again.

5. Close the command prompt. 6. Log off now. 7. You can see your built-in administrator account created beside the other accounts.

8. Click the icon new administrator account display picture. Log on now. 9. For better security, give password.
