Freud

The document summarizes Sigmund Freud and Erik Erikson's stages of psychosocial development. Freud proposed 5 stages from infancy to adulthood focused on psychosexual development centered around different erogenous zones. Erikson expanded on this, outlining 8 stages from infancy to late adulthood each centered around developing virtues by resolving psychosocial crises through forming relationships and industry. The stages involve developing trust vs mistrust in infancy, autonomy vs shame in toddlerhood, initiative vs guilt in preschool, and so on through identity, intimacy, generativity and integrity in adulthood.
