Lasagna

Lasagna doesn't really deserve a recipe. It's just...pile a bunch of food in a dish and heat it in the oven. Ah, Americanized Italian food!

Lasagna

Lasagna is like pizza: you can put anything in it, in any order you want. The general principle seems to be: layer thin sheets of pasta with meat and other Italian stuff, then bake. This is a great clean-out-theleftovers dish. Make it look however you want.

Ingredients: Meat: sausage, ground beef, chicken, mushrooms Vegetables: spinach, olives, onions, garlic, celery, tomatoes, mushrooms Pasta: make your own! (1 egg: 0.5-1 cup white or wheat flower. Knead until velvety, let rest 10 minutes, roll out and boil. Look, youre a pasta chef.) Cheese: cream cheese, ricotta, cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, Swiss cheese?

Instructions: 1. Cook meat, drain. 2. Cook vegetables, drain. 3. Cook pasta, drain. (so draining!) 4. Layer in whatever order you desire. 5. Cover, bake for 30-45 minutes at 350-375. 6. Very important!! Let stand at least 10 minutes before serving.
