This document describes a system for remote computer interconnection using a data connection between a controller and a personal computer via a PLC interface and two modems. The PLC interface connection can be added to all other system configurations. A schematic diagram shows the connection between the controller, PLC interface, solar array, battery, load, and personal computer via standard serial cables and modems. The PLC settings must be programmed according to the PLC manual and can be accessed and changed remotely with PLC software. Additional wiring instructions specify using a null modem style cable between the PLC interface and modem, and a standard computer serial interface cable between the modem and personal computer.
