PROCEDURE TO DOWNLOAD SOFTWARE VIA TFTP IN NEHC

LITESPAN FR3.0 ANETO

1.- First at all we need to know we are going to use several interfaces for this
download, in NEHC and in LIOC card, basically we are going to use Probe to start
TFTP application and we need the LAN interface in LIOC card to download the
software.

Debug Connection (Probe) Parameters: 38400, N, 8, 1, No Flow Control

Connection Ethernet Parameters:
Check in the Installation Data that TCP/IP protocol is configured (not OSI protocol) ,
and note that Ethernet Interface of our PC must belongs to the same subnet of the
IP Address management
(we can use any sniffer to checks the outgoing packets from this interface)

2.- Then, we need to download the software we are going to transfer to the PC
that we are going to use as FTFP server.
In this example we are going to use version 30.0.5

COREcomp30.0.5.tar
FW_TOOLS.tar

2.- Then we create a folder that is going to be the root directory for the TFTP
server and extract all the files included in two previous files into this one, in our
example we are creating folder aneto in D drive (D:\ temp2.
3.- Then we start the TFTP application in the pc, in our case we have choosen 3EC
daemon software but any other application will work as well. In 3EC daemon we
configure the root directory where the software is located.
i.e. Upload/Download directory: d:/temp (este ser el directorio de trabajo del
TFTP server)

4.- Finally we need to define an IP address in our local connection in order to have
IP connectivity with the interface we are going to define in LIOC.
Por ejemplo: Segn el Installation Data: IP = 192.168.1.1
Entonces, la IP de la Pc Local = 192.168.1.10

5.- Once we have our PC configured, we need to perform the connection to the
NEHC via debugging (Probe) and stop the board if its started.

PROBE+/ tftp v
MAC Addres default = 12234567789a
Internal IP Address = 192.168.1.9

6.- The download is performed, we can see there are three phases, one for the
download (represented as ****), another one for erasing ) represented as ______,
and the last one for writing in memory (represented as ####). These phases will
be repeteaded for every packet in the software.
7.- At the end of the procedure, the system will ask about continuing the tftp
procedure. We must answer no and the system will reboot and start-up with the
new software.
