Applicants will receive a letter from the Office of Academic Services on the leave application status. Special leave is granted only in exceptional circumstances. Exceptional circumstances that merit consideration on a case by case basis include: compassionate reasons affecting immediate family student's own marriage participating in recognised event e.g. Representing Singapore, NTU, Community Club, Association, etc. in sports, cultural events, competition, seminar, conference, etc. reserve service training
