Tues. Wed. Thurs. Read 30 minutes

Third Graders will continue to work on Chapter 2, Solve Multiplication Subject Mon. and Division Problems. On Tuesday, they will take the a the midchapter quiz which covers multiplication facts & division facts through three. Math On Fridays, Mrs. Sherman, Zoe's mom, is quizzing the students on single digit multiplication and division facts. Thank you for volunteering, Mrs. Sherman!!! Please encourage your child to study these facts at home as well. Begin with multiplication facts zero through five. :) Review

Reading This week students will begin Theme 2, What a Team. This theme explores ways that people and animals can work together to accomplish goals. Students discover that cooperation can make the difference in relationshipsand are encouraged to apply that concept in their own lives. This week's reading selection is a realistic fiction piece titled, Turtle Bay. As we read, we will discuss author's purpose and homophones and homographs.
