Reading This week students will begin Theme 2, What a Team. This theme explores ways that people and animals can work together to accomplish goals. Students discover that cooperation can make the difference in relationshipsand are encouraged to apply that concept in their own lives. This week's reading selection is a realistic fiction piece titled, Balto, the Dog Who Saved Nome. Students will focus on identify word relationships such as synonyms and antonyms. They will also work on making predications and idenfying common and proper nouns.
