Calendars define work hours and non-work days for resources and activities. There are three calendar pools - global, resource, and project - which can be assigned separately or linked between projects, resources, and a global level. Calendars allow specifying work hours, holidays, and vacations for scheduling, tracking, and leveling resources.

Calendars:

Calendars define the available work hours in each calendar day. You can create and assign calendars to each resource and each activity. You can also specify national holidays, your organization's holidays, projectspecific work/non workdays, and resource vacation days. Calendar assignments are used for activity scheduling, tracking, and resource leveling. Three calendar pools are defined: Global, Resource, and Project. The global calendar pool contains calendars that apply to all projects. The project calendar pool is a separate pool of calendars for each project. The resource calendar pool can be a separate pool of calendars for each resource. You can assign either resource or global calendars to resources, and you can assign either global or project calendars to activities. You can link resource and project calendars to global calendars. Then, if you make changes to a global calendar, your changes apply to all resource and project calendars that are linked to the modified global calendar.

Create a project calendar Edit a project calendar Delete a project calendar.

Problem: The calendar timings for NANOTECH ltd are as follows. The working days per week are 6 days with holidays as 26th January, 15th august, 2nd October, 14th November and 25th December. The work starts form 9:30 am to 8:30 pm with 1 hr as break in between. Create a base calendar for the specified timings.
