TMS - Configure STMS in Non Domain Controller

To configure STMS in a non-domain controller, log in and copy the transport route configuration from the domain controller. This will make the route configuration consistent across systems. Verify the configuration was set up properly by checking in transaction SAP System. Additional steps may be needed if the non-domain controller incorrectly sees itself as the domain controller - remove it from the domain controller's system list, then redistribute the configuration.

How to configure STMS in non domain controller

1) To configure STMS in non domain controller, login to client 000. You will see message
“The TMS configuration is inconsistent” and “The transport route configuration is
inconsistent”.

2) Go to Transport routes > Configuration > Adjust with controller

4) Click yes. This will copy the original transport route configured from domain controller
to other system in the domain.

5) Once copied, the route will appear the same as domain controller and it will
automatically activated.
6) After the whole route has been setup, go to SAP System > Check, to verify that the
configuration has been setup properly and correct.
Additional step (if required) :

1) There are time when supposedly non domain controller (e.g. TCC) will see itself as
domain controller during the initial stage of configuring TMS (tcode STMS > Overview >
Systems).

2) When this happens, go to the domain controller (e.g. TNB) client 000. Go to STMS >
Overview > Systems. Delete TCC from the list.
3) After delete TCC from the list (do not refer attachment) go to Extras > Distribute and
activate configuration. This will distribute the latest configuration among the listed
system.

4) Then go back to non domain controller (e.g. TCC) and redo the steps to configure TMS.
It will automatically detect the domain controller and refer itself as non domain
controller.

5) Go back to the domain controller to approve request from the previous system and go
to Extras > Distribute and activate configuration.
