Learning Styles David Kolb

David Kolb's Learning Styles Inventory identifies four types of learning styles - active experimentation, reflective observation, abstract conceptualization, and concrete experience. Each learning style corresponds to one of the four quadrants in Kolb's model - Why, What, How, and What If. The Why quadrant learns by seeking meaning and outcomes, the What quadrant learns by thinking through ideas, the How quadrant learns by testing theories, and the What If quadrant learns by trial and error. Each quadrant also has an associated trainer role - motivator, teacher, coach/facilitator, and colleague respectively.
