Lesson Plan Template

This lesson plan is for an entrepreneurship module that explains the difference between inventions and innovations. The instructor will have students complete a self-assessment of their entrepreneurial skills and discuss the results. Objectives: 1 ASWBAT correctly identify the difference between inventions and innovation. 2 3 Pre Requisite Learning: Definition of Entrepreneurship, brief introduction to Entre. Development: (In Classroom) 1. Today we are going to talk about Invention and Innovation whats the difference. 2. What is the definition of Invention -Things made for the first time, things that are new -New concepts or products that come from ideas or research Inventions attempt to satisfy a NEED, WANT, PROBLEM, or CHALLENGE 3. Think of famous inventions can you name some write down/discuss 4. Can you think of something you would like to invent? Ideas? Does it satisfy a need, want, problem, or challenge? 5. Now let us head to CBC.ca/inventions/ and check out some famous Canadian inventions. Discuss if first 20 are N, W, P, or C. 6.
