Over the next week you are going to gather enough information to create a newsletter for The Outsiders. You will be given three periods to work on the library computers and several class periods to put together your newsletter. You will pick your own Newsletter title and choose which parts of the novel that you would like to draw attention to. During class work time, we will be reviewing individual criteria and expectations for each newsletter component. Pay Attention!
Any Questions? You must include the following items in your newsletter: Breaking News Article: You must choose one major event out of The Outsiders, and write an article which covers the who, what, where, when, why, and how of the situation. Advice Column You must pretend to be one of the characters from The Outsiders and write to the Newsletter looking for advice with a problem you are having. You must then also include a response with helpful advice back to your pretend character

Obituary You must create an obituary for one of the characters that dies. You must include details about their life and how and when they died. Advertisement You need to search for an ad that would be relevant to the 1960s and include it in your newsletter Personal Ad Pretend to be one of the single characters in The Outsiders. Create an ad that describes what they are looking for in a woman.
