NC 201 Online Instructor Certification Syllabus Course Description: NC 201 is designed to improve the quality of online instruction at Neosho

County Community College by introducing participants to the best practices and techniques in online pedagogy. Through an interactive collaborative online setting, designed to foster creativity and exploration of resources; participants will model online instruction techniques in a simulated online classroom. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate and professional development credit.

Course Outcomes: 1. Participants will demonstrate familiarity with the best practices in online pedagogy. 2. Participants will demonstrate various techniques to integrate content into their online classrooms using a variety of technical procedures and Web 2.0 tools. 3. Participants will demonstrate various techniques for fostering instructor/student communication and collaboration in the unique and challenging online environment. 4. Participants will demonstrate proficiency in the use of advanced settings and course design in the InsideNC Learning Management System.

Course Outline: NC 201 is a six week course divided into six weekly modules: I. II. III. IV. V. VI.
