REGISTRATION 2012: INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS As required by the Department of Home Affairs all international students must supply a tertiary institution with proof of valid study documentation before registration can take place. Thus before registration in 2012 every international student (i.e. students with study permits, permanent residence, refugee status, asylum seekers, diplomat status etc.) must report to the International Office (Building 24, Room G26) and furnish us with the following (copies will be made on the day): Passport (all International Students), Bar-coded identity document (in the case of permanent residents) and/or proof of refugee status. Proof of Residence (not older than 6 months) Valid Study Permit (if applicable) Valid Work Permit, with necessary endorsements (when applicable) 12 months up-front paid Medical Cover (only applicable for study permit holders; in the case of students being covered by parents or a spouse an agreement will be signed, however proof of cover still needs to be provided) Completed International Student datasheet (to be completed during registration)
