Aids

AIDS is the final stage of HIV infection, attacking the immune system and leaving the body vulnerable to infections and cancers. It is spread through sexual contact, blood, and from mother to child. There is no cure for AIDS but treatments are available to weaken the disease and improve quality of life, such as highly active antiretroviral therapy which uses a combination of drugs to reduce HIV particles in the bloodstream.
