Activity session subject : Christmas Vocabulary: Santa Claus, Christmas, present, stocking, bell, star, tree, card, ornament, Christmas lights, reindeer (Rudolph et al), Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, candy canes, angels, snow, snowflakes, snowman, days in a month (w. advent calendar) Activities / songs / games: Rehearsals for Christmas show: Rudolph the red nosed reindeer. Sing Christmas songs: Jingle bells, We wish you a merry Christmas etc. Making Christmas trees to hang in the classroom. Watch The Snowman short film and explain what we see. Making advent calendars and using them to practice the days and the dates.

Prathom 1 Prep er and ph sounds and examples of words they apply to. Smaller than and bigger than comparison of numbers.

Review Review five senses work to make sure that students remember it. Review numbers using the countdown to Christmas as a basis.

Notes / parent follow up: Encourage students to do the countdown at home as well, this is a good opportunity for them to learn about days, dates and months in a fun way. Discuss any Christmas imagery you see and how Christmas impacts on your childs life.
